The Fall is About Vocation, Not Just Temptation

If the textual evidence is overwhelming that we are to understand the Garden of Eden as a temple space and the man and woman as priests commanded to “work and keep” it, how does that change our understanding of what went wrong? The story of Adam and Eve, the serpent, and the tree is commonly referred to as “the Fall.” It’s one of the most well-known in the Bible. Even people who’ve never read a single chapter of scripture know it, and most assume they know what it’s about.
